![]() ![]() ![]() Small businesses in the Township who contract for their own trash removal may be eligible for residential rates and curbside recycling. Lower Allen Township is a mandated community, according to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and must recycle. Please click here for the 2023 Collection Calendar. Residents should call (717) 975-7575 x 1014 to discuss any concerns or questions about the trash pickup service. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, trash collection will run on the normally scheduled collection day. When a holiday falls on any other day of the week the collection for that day and the remainder of the week is delayed by one (1) day. When a holiday occurs on a Monday, collection is then held Tuesday through Saturday. ![]() Holidays: for the holidays listed below collection is delayed by one (1) day. Trash and recycling may not be placed curbside more than 24-hours prior to the regularly scheduled pickup day, and trash and recycling containers must be removed from the curbside after the waste hauler picks up. When placing a large item, or a large quantity of refuse for pickup (10-bags or more), please call Penn Waste at (717) 767-4456 in advance so they may make the necessary adjustments for staffing and the pickup schedule.
